Mr. Beaver tells them that the Witch has probably turned Mr.
Tumnus into stone. She has a courtyard full of stone statues.
He tells them Aslan is coming and that these four children fulfill a Narnian
prophecy about two Sons of Adam and two Daughters of Eve. It is about the four of them sitting in the thrones at the palace,
signifying the end of the Queen's reign and her death.
The children learn that Aslan is a lion. They are to meet him at the Stone
Table. Suddenly they realize Edmund is gone. The beaver tells them they have been betrayed by their brother, and they realize
it is true. Mr. Beaver says he could tell that by the look in Edmund's eyes, that he had been with her and had some of her
food.
They all must leave, as the Queen will be there in twenty minutes.
