Summary
The Witch takes Edmund on the sledge. As they go on for
hours, the snow thaws, there is slush and then it is clearly spring. Edmund ends up being tied with his hands behind
his back, forced to walk fast. He is periodically whipped by the dwarf. Edmund is cold, wet and hungry. He witnesses
the Queen turn innocent squirrels into stone.The Dwarf says these changes in Narnia are because of Aslan. The Witch
says that if anyone says "Aslan" again, he will be instantly killed.
